MTrec’s new career opportunity: Our client, specialists in their market sector, are now looking to recruit a Maintenance Manager on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and manage the site maintenance department, leading and contributing to improvement recommendations.
- Maintain communication with stakeholders to ensure the completion of department activities, evaluating the effectiveness of implementation.
- Use tools such as SMED, MTBF, MTTF, and TPM to improve and drive gains in the department.
- Manage and develop KPIs to monitor effectiveness (OEE) and maintenance quality.
- Maintain accurate asset information files, including equipment details, PPM schedules, condition, costs, and subcontract support.
- Ensure effective communication within maintenance and across site departments.
- Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma tools for process improvements and root cause analysis.
- Ensure methodical fault finding and use asset records for rectification to meet performance and quality standards.
- Manage equipment and process enhancements aligned with business plans.
- Drive change and innovation, ensuring safe, effective implementation that becomes systematic within the business.
- Manage resources for projects and continuous improvements, optimizing human, plant, and financial resources.
- Propose and control plant expenditure against budgets.
- Lead teams, ensuring clear priorities, empowerment, and development of personnel.
- Participate in personnel selection and competency development.
- Control environmental impact and maintain environmental control equipment.
- Promote energy efficiency and identify improvements in energy management.
About You:
- Qualified with HNC or HND in an engineering-biased subject.
- At least three years’ practical experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance activities, PPM/TPM, team leadership, and health and safety.
- Self-motivated with excellent communication skills, IT competence, and familiarity with CMMS.
- Ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical, organized, and problem-solving skills to drive improvements and lead projects.
- Attention to detail with a hands-on, proactive attitude.
