MTrec’s new career opportunity: Our client, specialists in their market sector, are now looking to recruit a Maintenance Manager on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities:

1. Plan, prepare, and manage the site maintenance department, leading and contributing to improvement recommendations.
2. Maintain communication with stakeholders to ensure the completion of department activities, evaluating the effectiveness of implementation.
3. Use tools such as SMED, MTBF, MTTF, and TPM to improve and drive gains in the department.
4. Manage and develop KPIs to monitor effectiveness (OEE) and maintenance quality.
5. Maintain accurate asset information files, including equipment details, PPM schedules, condition, costs, and subcontract support.
6. Ensure effective communication within maintenance and across site departments.
7. Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma tools for process improvements and root cause analysis.
8. Ensure methodical fault finding and use asset records for rectification to meet performance and quality standards.
9. Manage equipment and process enhancements aligned with business plans.
10. Drive change and innovation, ensuring safe, effective implementation that becomes systematic within the business.
11. Manage resources for projects and continuous improvements, optimizing human, plant, and financial resources.
12. Propose and control plant expenditure against budgets.
13. Lead teams, ensuring clear priorities, empowerment, and development of personnel.
14. Participate in personnel selection and competency development.
15. Control environmental impact and maintain environmental control equipment.
16. Promote energy efficiency and identify improvements in energy management.

About You:

• Qualified with HNC or HND in an engineering-biased subject.
• At least three years’ practical experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance activities, PPM/TPM, team leadership, and health and safety.
• Self-motivated with excellent communication skills, IT competence, and familiarity with CMMS.
• Ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
• Analytical, organized, and problem-solving skills to drive improvements and lead projects.
• Attention to detail with a hands-on, proactive attitude.
