Job summary

Noble Foods is seeking a proactive Maintenance Manager to lead the engineering team at our Leicester Added Value site, ensuring maximum uptime and operational efficiency.

You will manage preventative maintenance, lead on safety and compliance, and drive continuous improvement across plant, equipment and facilities while developing your team. This hands-on leadership role requires strong budget awareness and collaboration with operations.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Engineering.
• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent qualification.
• Experience leading engineering teams within a manufacturing environment, ideally food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of CMMS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing resources and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of engineers. across days and nights
• Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programes and engineering schedules.
• Ensure prompt response to equipment breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
• Support the delivery of the site's engineering strategy and continuous improvement activities.
• Oversee contractor management and compliance.
• Lead the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Monitor engineering KPIs and drive performance improvements.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety, hygiene, and audit readiness.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and development conversations with team members.

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Maintenance Manager to lead our engineering team at our Leicester Added Value site, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for maintaining plant, equipment, buildings, and site services to ensure maximum operational efficiency and uptime.

You’ll play a key role in driving preventative maintenance, managing engineering resources, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring high standards of health & safety, food safety, and compliance across the site.
