Noble Foods Home of the Happy Egg Co. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the engineering team at our Leicester Added Value site. The role focuses on maintaining plant, equipment, buildings, and site services to maximise uptime and efficiency.

You will drive preventative maintenance, manage resources and budgets, support continuous improvement, and uphold health and safety, food safety, and audit standards across the site. A hands-on, coaching leadership style is essential.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND in Engineering or equivalent.
• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent qualification.
• Experience leading engineering teams in a manufacturing environment (preferably food).
• Knowledge of CMMS systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of engineers across days and nights.
• Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes and schedules.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Support the delivery of the site's engineering strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee contractor management and compliance.
• Lead installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Monitor engineering KPIs and drive performance improvements.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and audit readiness.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and development conversations with team members.

Shift Pattern: 40 hours, 5/7 days - with the ability to flex shifts to support operational requirements

Location: Leicester - Ratby Lane

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Maintenance Manager to lead our engineering team at our Leicester Added Value site, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for maintaining plant, equipment, buildings, and site services to ensure maximum operational efficiency and uptime.

You’ll play a key role in driving preventative maintenance, managing engineering resources, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring high standards of health & safety, food safety, and compliance across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of engineers. across days and nights

• Ensure prompt response to equipment breakdowns and minimise production downtime.

• Support the delivery of the site's engineering strategy and continuous improvement activities.

About You

• HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Engineering.

• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent qualification.

• Experience leading engineering teams within a manufacturing environment, ideally food manufacturing.

• Strong knowledge of CMMS systems and Microsoft Office applications.

• Excellent organisational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

• Commercial awareness with experience managing resources and budgets.
