Job summary

Noble Foods Home of the Happy Egg Co. in Leicester is seeking an experienced Site Services and Facilities Engineer to keep the site running safely, efficiently and reliably. You will be responsible for maintaining critical utilities, facilities and infrastructure, ensuring maximum plant uptime while supporting food safety, quality and health & safety standards.

Shift: 37.5 hours, Mon-Fri 08:00-16:00. Responsibilities include carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, managing contractors,

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' engineering experience within a food manufacturing environment.
• Recognised engineering apprenticeship.
• 17th or 18th Edition qualified.
• Experience maintaining industrial utilities and site services.
• Strong fault-finding skills with electrical and mechanical knowledge.
• Experience managing contractors and working with permit systems.
• Computer literate with CMMS and Microsoft Office experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across site services and facilities.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns, minimising downtime and supporting production performance.
• Maintain key utility systems including boilers, compressors, refrigeration, water treatment, effluent plant, pumps, and associated services.
• Manage contractors on site, ensuring compliance with health & safety requirements.
• Complete PPM activities, engineering records, and work orders through the CMMS system.
• Support continuous improvement projects to enhance reliability, efficiency, and OEE.
• Monitor chemical and water treatment systems to ensure compliance.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and environmental performance.
