Job summary

CV Technical in Ellesmere Port seeks a Maintenance Manager to lead engineering operations on site, ensuring safe, compliant and reliable production. You will plan and oversee preventive maintenance and supervise the engineering team.

The role aims to improve machinery performance, reduce downtime and drive improvements, while coordinating with contractors and managing spares. A formal apprenticeship or equivalent qualification is required.

• Investigate recurring faults and breakdowns, putting effective corrective actions in place
• Manage, support and develop the engineering team

• Identify opportunities to improve processes, minimise downtime and increase equipment performance

Skills and Qualifications:

• Formal engineering apprenticeship or equivalent technical qualification
• HNC or HND in an engineering discipline would be advantageous
• Background working within a manufacturing or production setting
• Previous experience supervising or leading engineering personnel
• Broad knowledge of both mechanical and electrical engineering
• Familiarity with planned maintenance systems and improvement initiatives
• Effective communication, fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
