Job summary

HVAC Total FM Recruitment in Liverpool is seeking a Maintenance Joiner to join an established on-site engineering team within a large retail and leisure environment. The static role focuses on planned and reactive maintenance across a busy site.

You will need a strong background in joinery and general building fabric maintenance, with the ability to carry out a wider range of day-to-day repairs. The role offers a long-term, permanent position with a 4 on 4 off shift pattern and on-site van

Qualifications

• Strong joinery or carpentry background.
• Experience within Facilities Management, Building Maintenance or similar environment.
• Good all-round fabric maintenance skills.
• Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance.
• Confident carrying out repairs to doors, frames, locks and other building fabric.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable working within a busy public-facing environment.
• Able to work effectively as part of an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance
• Respond to reactive building fabric issues
• Complete joinery repairs including doors, frames, locks, fixtures and general woodwork
• Carry out general building repairs and making-good works
• Complete basic decorating and painting
• Carry out fire door inspections and minor remedial works
• Carry out water flushing and water sampling
• Assist with porter duties, including moving furniture and equipment
• Support seasonal set-up works
• Oversee subcontractors where required
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to a good standard
• Maintain a professional approach in a busy public-facing environment

Salary: Up to £35,000

Hours: 4 on 4 off | 12-hour shifts between 07:00 and 22:00

Contract: Permanent

Role Overview

We are looking for threejoinery-biased Maintenance Joiner to join an established on-site engineering team within a large retail and leisure environment in Liverpool.

This is a static role carrying out planned and reactive building maintenance across a busy customer-facing estate.

You’ll need a strong background in joinery and general building fabric maintenance, while also being comfortable carrying out a wider range of day-to-day repairs across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance
• Respond to reactive building fabric issues
• Complete joinery repairs including doors, frames, locks, fixtures and general woodwork
• Carry out general building repairs and making‑good works
• Complete basic decorating and painting

Working Pattern

• 4 on 4 off
• 12-hour shifts
• Rotating hours between 07:00 and 22:00
• Call Out
• 1 in 6 rota
• £150 standby payment
• Company van provided while on call
