Job summary

ECG Facilities Services is seeking skilled individuals for a multi-trade role focused on building repairs and maintenance across the United Kingdom. Responsibilities include joinery and plumbing tasks, supporting preventative maintenance, and responding to reactive calls.

The ideal candidate will have proven multi-trade experience and appropriate qualifications, including NVQ Level 2/3 in a relevant trade and a Full UK Driving Licence. A strong understanding of safety practices is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven multi-trade experience in building repairs and maintenance.
• Skilled in at least two of the carpentry/joinery or plumbing.
• Good understanding of site safety and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Joinery tasks including door adjustments and fabric repairs.
• Carry out basic plumbing such as fixing leaks and replacing fixtures.
• Support preventative maintenance routines in coordination with the Maintenance Manager.
• Respond promptly to reactive maintenance calls.
• Operate safely at height using appropriate access equipment.
• Liaise with contractors and tenants to complete works.
• Maintain tools and working areas to high cleanliness standards.
• Comply with relevant health and safety legislation.

Job description

Hours: 40 hours per week

• Joinery tasks, including door adjustments, fabric repairs, timber repairs, and minor carpentry works, fire door inspections, metal door and ironmongery repairs.
• Carry out basic plumbing, such as fixing leaks, replacing fixtures, and maintaining waste and supply pipework.
• Support preventative maintenance routines in coordination with the Maintenance Manager.
• Respond promptly and professionally to reactive maintenance calls, recording work undertaken and materials used.
• Operate safely at height using appropriate access equipment and in accordance with safety procedures.
• Liaise with contractors, tenants, and centre management teams where required to complete works safely and efficiently.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and working areas to a high standard of cleanliness and order.
• Comply with all relevant health and safety legislation, risk assessments, and method statements.

Skills & Qualifications Required

• Proven multi-trade experience in building repairs and maintenance.
• Skilled in at least two of the carpentry/joinery, or plumbing.
• Good understanding of site safety and safe working practices, particularly in public environments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage workload effectively.
• Previous experience working in a retail or commercial property environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in a relevant trade.
• Full UK Driving Licence (if inter-site travel is required).
