Job summary

PRS is recruiting for a fabric maintenance handyperson to cover PPM and reactive maintenance on a prestigious facility in the Mansfield area. The role involves general repairs, compliance checks, fabric maintenance and minor room/building repairs, with a 40-hour week, Mon-Fri, days. On-call duties are to be confirmed.

The position is based on-site with mobile work across estates including South Yorkshire, supporting a busy facility and ensuring adherence to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Maintenance and handyperson experience required.
• Valid driving licence.
• Several years relevant experience with good customer skills.
• Self-motivated with a can-do attitude at all times.
• Ability and desire to complete general fabric maintenance tasks.
• Operate building systems in a competent, safe manner per guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lamping and fabric maintenance tasks on site.
• Basic plumbing, patch plastering, minor joinery, patch painting.
• Complete compliance checks and emergency lighting tasks.
• Assist engineers and trades on site.
• Conduct basic room repairs and mobile work across estates.

Position: Fabric Maintenance Handyperson

Location: Mansfield (and South Yorkshire)

Type: Permanent

Salary: £32,000 - £33,000 Basic, Mon-Fri 40 hours/week

We are recruiting for a fabric maintenance handyperson to cover PPM and reactive maintenance on a prestigious facility in the Mansfield area. The fabric maintenance handyperson will be responsible for general repairs, compliance checks, fabric maintenance and minor room / building repairs. The role is a permanent position paying up to 32k-33k basic. Mon-Fri 40 hours per week days. On-call TBC. The position is based form the facility for circa 3 days/week then mobile on other estates circa x2 days per week. The catchment area will include South Yorkshire.

Fabric Maintenance Handyperson Description:

• Lamping
• Fabric maintenance
• Basic plumbing, patch plastering, minor joinery, patch painting etc.
• Completing compliance checks, emergency lighting, tap temps etc.
• Assisting engineers and trades on site
• Basic room repairs
• Also working on a mobile across across the area
• Ad-hoc handyperson duties

Handyperson Requirements:

• To have maintenance and handyperson experience
• Valid driving license
• Applicants are expected to have several years prior experience some of which will have been in a similar role and have good customer skills.
• It is essential staff are self-motivated and promote a “Can do” customer attitude at all times.
• Ability and desire to complete general fabric maintenance tasks
• Operate all systems within the building in a competent, effective and efficient manner, adhering to relevant guidelines and bulletins.
