Job summary

ETS Consulting Ltd is recruiting a Maintenance Fitter for a facility based near Holmfirth. You will apply your mechanical apprenticeship to maintain fast-moving machinery, conveyors and related systems within a textile/FMCG manufacturing environment.

The role involves planned and preventative maintenance, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, with opportunities for advancement and a regular Monday–Friday schedule plus a call-out rota. A pension scheme and overtime opportunities accompany the salary.

Qualifications

• Minimum full apprenticeship in mechanical engineering
• Experience with planned and preventative maintenance schedules
• Knowledge of gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics

Responsibilities

• Maintain fast-moving machinery and conveyor systems
• Work on installation projects and H&S compliant tasks
• Support scheduled maintenance and predictive maintenance activities
• Potential progression into a more senior role in the future

The Company

Based within one of the UK's leading manufacturing groups my client is looking to recruit an experienced electrical maintenance engineer to add to their existing team. The facility in Rochdale has been in production for over 50 years and is a market leader within its industry. The company have a wide array of woven/non-woven/glass fibre and hybrid fabrics such as stainless steel materials that serve a purpose for the Defence, Aerospace, Food/Beverage industries.

The Role

You will have served a minimum of a full apprenticeship in mechanical engineering and have experience working within planned and preventative maintenance schedules. You will have a sound knowledge of fast moving machinery, conveyor systems, project based work, H&S compliance, installation work, needle punch presses, heat set calendars, inverters. The role will involve working on gearboxes, hydraulics & pneumatics. The successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably, with the possibility of taking on a more senior role in the future.
