Job summary

Adient in Liverpool seeks a hands-on Maintenance & Facilities Lead to oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for a fast-moving site. You will drive continuous improvement, manage capital projects, and ensure health, safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a university degree or equivalent experience, plus strong leadership across electrical, mechanical and automation systems. You will manage budgets, SPARES, and lean manufacturing practices while collaborating with senior

Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising a multi-disciplined maintenance team in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience working to KPIs and cost controls.
• Experience with contractor management.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of automation systems including PLCs and network communication.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.
• Problem-solving and lean manufacturing principles.
• Knowledge of TPM & CMMS.
• IT skills in MS-Office.
• Commercial awareness of P&L.
• Engineering discipline qualification (HNC/equiv).
• Health & safety knowledge and NEBOSH qualification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance activities, including installation, repair, breakdown response and scheduling of safe, timely work.
• Maintain facilities, plant security and service agreements; ensure upkeep.
• Direct teams across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance with trained personnel.
• Present monthly KPI performance to Operations Team.
• Support plant/system changes with the ManEng and Launch teams.
• Deliver a Plant Maintenance Strategy and continuous improvement plan aligned with best practices.
• Ensure all planned work has a Safe Standard of Work (SSOW).
• Own shutdown plans and spare parts strategy; manage budget and capital expenditure.
