Lead Maintenance Engineer

Sittingbourne (ME10 3NB)
£55,918 (including shift allowance) plus overtime & benefits
42 hours per week, 4 on - 4 off, rotating days & nights

Mission

Your main responsibilities include leading a team of two engineers to ensure continuous production by fault finding and maintaining various equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic systems.

You will carry out planned and reactive engineering activities, working 42 hours per week on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern covering days and nights from 6 am to 6 pm.

Critical Skills

• Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications (apprenticeship)
• 3+ years’ experience in medium/large automated manufacturing
• Experience leading an engineering team (preferred but not essential)
• Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations
• Electrical fault finding and routine maintenance experience
• Ability to diagnose and recommend solutions for plant issues
• Excellent communication skills
• PLC and VSD knowledge (advantageous)
• Experience with mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics
