This is an on-site position based in Christchurch for an experienced Maintenance Engineer in the NZ food processing sector.

Platinum Recruitment is partnering with a successful NZ food processing company to recruit a Maintenance Engineering Foreman.

The Role:

• Oversee and coordinate all engineering functions of the plant.
• Improve efficiencies and promote a proactive approach within electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration maintenance.
• Work closely with the Plant Manager and Maintenance team in maintenance planning.
• Prioritize jobs from daily maintenance to large projects.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

• Related trade/tertiary qualification: Fitter / Maintenance Engineer, etc.
• Minimum 4 years of NZ manufacturing maintenance experience, ideally in food sector.
• Ability to liaise between different plant departments.
• Proven results in Continuous Improvement / LEAN Manufacturing.
• Experience in assessment of maintenance work.
• Previous experience leading maintenance scheduling.
• Proven success in compliance, risk assessment, budgeting, and reporting.
• Experience using maintenance software.
• Immediate NZ Work Rights/Visa.
