Job summary

Bournemouth Water Ltd. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our Resources & Production team across our water treatment and production sites.

You will deliver mechanical, electrical and ICA maintenance, and travel across the South West Water and Bournemouth Water areas, with periods away from home as required. The role emphasizes hands-on fault diagnosis, asset reliability improvements, and collaboration with operations and the supply-chain.

Qualifications

• Experience across mechanical, electrical or ICA equipment.
• Time-served apprenticeship and relevant formal qualifications.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver maintenance programmes across mechanical, electrical and ICA assets.
• Provide hands-on maintenance support wherever required.
• Diagnose faults and identify root causes to resolve issues.
• Prepare and review risk assessments, method statements and procedures.
• Mentor new team members and apprentices.
• Improve asset reliability through Lean Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM).
• Support fast-tracked reviews of Water Treatment Works when needed.
• Work safely and in line with procedures and statutory requirements.
• Participate in standby rota for out-of-hours maintenance support.
