Bournemouth Water Ltd. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our Resources & Production team across our water treatment and production sites.
You will deliver mechanical, electrical and ICA maintenance, and travel across the South West Water and Bournemouth Water areas, with periods away from home as required. The role emphasizes hands-on fault diagnosis, asset reliability improvements, and collaboration with operations and the supply-chain.
Powered by Water, Driven by Purpose
Providing clean, clear, and safe drinking water is at the heart of what we do at Bournemouth Water. Every day, we treat and supply 150 megalitres of water, rigorously tested at every stage to ensure it meets the highest standards.
We're proud to be part of Pennon Group, a leader in the UK water sector, working towards a greener future. Our goals? As well as lowering our carbon footprint, we're working with partners to plant 300,000 trees, restore peatlands and supporting farmers and landowners to improve water quality and wildlife.
Whether you're starting out or seeking a new challenge, our scale and ambition create opportunities for you to shape your own career.
We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our Resources & Production team, providing hands on technical expertise across our water treatment and production sites. You'll work as part of a flexible regional team, helping to plan, coordinate and deliver mechanical, electrical and ICA maintenance. From planned maintenance programmes to responding to emerging operational issues, you'll play an important role in keeping our assets reliable and our sites performing effectively. This is a varied role where no two days will necessarily look the same. You'll work across different locations depending on operational priorities, identifying the root causes of plant failures, resolving issues and supporting improvements to asset reliability and performance. Travel across the South West Water and Bournemouth Water areas, including periods away from home, may be required.
You'll be an experienced maintenance professional with strong practical knowledge in at least one of mechanical, electrical or ICA equipment and systems, supported by a time‑served apprenticeship and relevant formal qualifications such as City & Guilds, BTEC, ONC, HNC or HND.
