Ernest Gordon Recruitment in Trowbridge is seeking a Maintenance Engineer with a pathway into Electrical Design. You will join an automation specialist delivering turnkey control and automation packages for a global client base and work on full product life cycle from conception to completion.

The role offers dedicated training to become a Design Engineer, with a Monday–Friday pattern and occasional travel to customer sites. Salary £40,000–£45,000 plus training and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a maintenance engineer or similar.
• Willingness to move into a design-focused role.
• Must be commutable to Trowbridge.

Responsibilities

• Draw design packages and schematics for projects.
• Produce documentation and manage project timelines and requirements.
• Complete commissioning and on-site FATs.
