Job summary

Cytiva is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support 24/7 on-site manufacturing. You will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on critical biopharma equipment, log tasks in the CMMS, and uphold Health & Safety standards.

The role involves rotating days and evenings with a shift premium. You will work with cross-functional teams to implement improvements and ensure reliable operation of facilities and production systems.

Qualifications

• Qualified national apprenticeship Level 3 in an engineering discipline.
• HNC/HND in engineering is desirable.
• Good knowledge of industrial safety regulations and practices.
• Ability to work rotating days/evenings shifts with shift premium.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Electrical and Mechanical plant equipment.
• Engage in Continuous Improvement and identify root causes of failures.
• Record tasks in the CMMS and ensure Health & Safety compliance.
• Collaborate with maintenance shifts and operations teams.

This role involves working on a rotating shift pattern of days and evenings and is set up to support 24/7 manufacturing on site

Days: 07:45am-15.45pm
Evenings: 15:45pm - 23:45pm

What You’ll Do

• Maintaining and repairing Electrical, Mechanical, electro-pneumatic and Facilities plant equipment at a leading Bio pharmaceutical Manufacturer.
• Engage in Continuous Improvement and highlight opportunities for positive change. Identify the root cause of recurring equipment failures and suggest strategies to improve overall reliability.
• Record all engineering tasks in the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) and ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety protocols.
• Team collaboration within the various maintenance team shifts & other engineering disciplines. This extends to working closely with operations and other site functions.

Who You Are

• Sufficient Electrical and mechanical skills/competency is required for this role, bias towards one discipline is expected.
• Minimum of a recognised national apprenticeship (Level 3) in a practical engineering discipline, desired HNC or HND in an engineering discipline.
• Good Industrial safety knowledge and understanding of roles and responsibilities in legislation.
• Ability to work Shifts - Shift premium as a percentage bonus of base salary rewarded to reflect this.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in

• Manufacturing environments
• Working within ISO Class cleanrooms
• Experience with plant and equipment installation
