Job summary

ConTrust Group in West Sussex is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our manufacturing operation, maintaining mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment, responding to breakdowns, performing planned maintenance and supporting new installations.

You will work with Production, Technical and other departments to improve reliability, efficiency and plant performance, with a hands-on approach to diagnosing problems and preventing recurrences, contributing to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections, servicing, repairs and planned preventative maintenance across site machinery and equipment.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults and restore machinery to safe and effective working order.
• Use structured fault-finding techniques to identify underlying causes of failures and implement sustainable solutions.
• Assist with the design, development and delivery of preventative maintenance programmes to improve equipment reliability and extend asset life.
• Support the installation, commissioning and testing of new machinery, equipment and upgrades.
• Monitor machinery performance and equipment availability, using data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Review equipment failure information and develop appropriate corrective and preventative actions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, procedures and technical documentation, ensuring information remains current and compliant with relevant standards.
• Help manage stocks of engineering spares, components and maintenance materials, ensuring essential items are available when required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects.
