Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to provide hands-on maintenance support across site operations, focusing on reliability, uptime, and safe production.

You will carry out planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs, diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, and contribute to continuous improvement with CMMS records.

This role suits problem-solvers who work across departments, mentor apprentices, and help keep equipment performing at optimum levels.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and engineering systems.
• Experience in FMCG or manufacturing (desirable).
• Proactive, can-do attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive repairs.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults quickly and safely.
• Support production teams to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Accurately record work, downtime and root cause analysis within CMMS.
• Identify and implement engineering and process improvements.
• Maintain hygiene, health & safety and housekeeping standards.
• Support site and group engineering projects.
• Act as a role model, supporting apprentices and developing best practice.
