Job summary
Compass Group UK&I is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support the reliability and performance of equipment across domestic and commercial properties. This role focuses on planned preventive maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs and continuous improvement to ensure all systems operate safely and efficiently.
You will work on a varied portfolio, carry out PPM to schedule, diagnose faults, and maintain records.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven maintenance experience in domestic and commercial environments.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across domestic and commercial sites.
- Respond to breakdowns with fault diagnosis and repairs.
- Service mechanical systems including heating, pumps and pipework.
- Work on gas appliances where qualified.
- Maintain accurate records using CAFM or job management system.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
