Job summary

Moulton Bulb Company is seeking an experienced engineer to perform reactive and preventative maintenance across the site, ensuring machinery operates at peak efficiency without compromising quality. You will collaborate closely with site Technicians and Line Leaders to keep equipment fully operational and compliant with company standards.

The role includes planned maintenance, breakdown support, and working with Engineering Supervisors and managers to minimise downtime and control costs.

Qualifications

• Experienced engineer with mechanical and electrical engineering qualification.
• Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Able to communicate clearly at all levels.
• Preferably experience in food manufacture industry.
• Self-driven, adaptable to change.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance and breakdowns across the site to minimise downtime.
• Recommend solutions to reduce downtime and identify areas for improvement in machine performance.
• Complete maintenance, servicing and general duties, escalating issues to the Engineering Lead/Supervisor as required.
• Work with Engineering Supervisors to minimise equipment purchases while ensuring tasks are completed.
• Collaborate with Engineering Supervisors, Engineering Manager, Grader Manager, Line Leaders, and suppliers to maximise efficiency.
• Ensure effective resolution of breakdowns with minimal production impact.
• Supervise external contractors on site, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
• Complete engineering paperwork accurately to support audits.
• Book out and restock parts in site stores.
• Maintain detailed records of tasks to support audit compliance.
