Job summary

Greencore, a leading UK food manufacturer, is seeking an experienced maintenance engineer to ensure high equipment reliability and output at our Leeds site. The role involves fault diagnosis, planned and preventative maintenance, and close liaison with the operations team to keep production running smoothly.

You will contribute to health, safety, and operational efficiency initiatives while working within food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Diagnose faults across plant and equipment to maximise reliability.
• Plan and prioritise maintenance activities with minimal downtime.
• Communicate schedules and progress to operations teams.
• Identify and implement health, safety, and efficiency improvements.

Responsibilities

• Complete fault finding, planned and preventative maintenance on plant and equipment to maximise equipment reliability and performance.
• Carry out fault finding, problem solving and establish route cause fixes to address equipment issues.
• Maintain ongoing communications with the operations team ensuring they are fully aware of all relevant engineering activities and schedules.
• Respond to internal customer needs to maximise production up time according to given priorities.
• Comply with food safety standards and controls to ensure all work is carried out correctly and safely.
