Job summary

Kirklees College Waterfront, Huddersfield, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer - Joiner to deliver planned and reactive joinery works across the College estate. Based at Waterfront with travel to other college sites, the role focuses on keeping buildings, fixtures and facilities safe, functional and fit for purpose with a focus on quality workmanship and compliance.

Ideally you will hold a recognised apprenticeship in Carpentry & Joinery or an NVQ Level 2 with experience in joinery maintenance and

Qualifications

Experience delivering planned and reactive joinery maintenance, repairs and refurbishment works.
Able to maintain internal and external building fabric, fixtures, fittings, furniture and specialist joinery installations.
Demonstrable commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
Evidence of an apprenticeship or NVQ in Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Deliver planned and reactive joinery maintenance across the College estate.
Support day-to-day operation of the estate through maintenance and refurbishments.
Contribute to statutory compliance and high-quality learning environments.
