Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Limited is seeking a Site based Maintenance Joiner/Fabric Engineer for a static site in Tameside. You will carry out maintenance, repair and refurbishment tasks on joinery and fabric elements while coordinating with contractors to ensure high-quality workmanship.

The role requires NVQ Level 2/3 in Joinery/Carpentry, with experience in fabric repairs and fire door maintenance. Core hours are Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm, on-site at the Tameside site, with opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Joinery/Carpentry (essential).
• Experience as a Maintenance Joiner or Fabric Engineer in facilities management.
• Fire door inspection, maintenance and repair experience is desirable.
• Knowledge of building fabric materials, construction methods, and repair techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of building fabric elements, such as walls, ceilings, floors, and roofs, to identify and address maintenance needs.
• Perform repairs and renovations on fabric components using appropriate materials and techniques.
• Install, repair, and maintain joinery elements, including doors, windows, cabinets, and fixtures.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialised fabric-related services, such as upholstery repairs and other outsourced services.
• Uphold cleanliness and appearance standards for fabric surfaces and finishes throughout the facility.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a secure working environment.

CBW Staffing Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Joiner/Fabric Engineer for a static site in Tameside. You will be responsible for conducting a wide range of maintenance, repair and refurbishment tasks on both joinery and fabric elements. This dual role requires versatility, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

This is a site-based opportunity located in Tameside.

Package:

• - Competitive salary of up to £36,000 per annum
• - Core hours are Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm (37.5 hours per week)
• - 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Responsibilities:
