Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd. is recruiting for a Site-based Maintenance Joiner/Fabric Engineer at a static site in Tameside. The role covers maintenance, repair and refurbishment of joinery and fabric elements.

Core hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm (37.5 hours/week). Benefits include 24 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, a generous pension, and opportunities for training and progression.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Joinery/Carpentry is essential.
• Proven experience as Maintenance Joiner or Fabric Engineer in facilities management.
• Fire door inspection/maintenance knowledge is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of building fabric materials, construction methods and repair techniques.
• Proficiency in fabric repairs and joinery installations and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect building fabric elements (walls, ceilings, floors, roofs) and address maintenance needs.
• Perform repairs and renovations on fabric components.
• Install, repair and maintain joinery elements (doors, windows, cabinets, fixtures).
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for fabric-related services.
• Uphold cleanliness and appearance standards for fabric surfaces and finishes.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Site based Maintenance Joiner - Tameside - Facilities Management

CBW Staffing Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Joiner/Fabric Engineer for a static site in Tameside. You will be responsible for conducting a wide range of maintenance, repair and refurbishment tasks on both joinery and fabric elements. This dual role requires versatility, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

This is a site-based opportunity located in Tameside.

• Competitive salary of up to £36,000 per annum

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of building fabric elements, such as walls, ceilings, floors, and roofs, to identify and address maintenance needs
• Perform repairs and renovations on fabric components using appropriate materials and techniques
• Install, repair, and maintain joinery elements, including doors, windows, cabinets, and fixtures
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialised fabric-related services, such as upholstery repairs and other outsourced services
• Uphold cleanliness and appearance standards for fabric surfaces and finishes throughout the facility
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a secure working environment

Qualifications

• Qualified to NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Joinery/Carpentry (essential)
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Joiner, Fabric Engineer, or similar role within the facilities management industry
• Fire door inspection, maintenance, and repair experience is highly desirable
