Kirklees College requires a Maintenance Engineer - Electrician to routinely maintain electrical systems across the estate, with initial base at Waterfront, Huddersfield and travel to other sites as needed.

You will diagnose faults, perform repairs, inspections, testing and preventative work, ensuring compliance and minimal downtime in a learning-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical Services or equivalent.
• AM2 qualification (or recognised equivalent).
• Current BS 7671 Wiring Regulations (18th Edition) qualification.

In the role of Maintenance Engineer - Electrician you’ll predominantly be based at Waterfront, but will travel across sites and your focus will be on delivering planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the College estate.

Your key responsibilities will be supporting the day-to-day operation of the estate through fault diagnosis, repairs, inspections, testing and preventative maintenance, contributing to statutory compliance, business continuity and a high-quality learning environment. Ideally, you’ll have Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Installation) or equivalent recognised apprenticeship, AM2 qualification (or recognised equivalent) and Current BS 7671 Wiring Regulations qualification (18th Edition).
