Job summary

Mason James Appointments (UK) Ltd is recruiting for a maintenance engineer in a brewing/manufacturing environment. You will maintain and optimise production equipment, troubleshoot high-speed machinery and execute preventive maintenance to keep lines running efficiently.

The role requires an NVQ Level 3 electrical qualification, time served, and strong fault-finding with PLCs, motors and sensors. A demanding shift pattern and strong safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3) or equivalent.
• Time served in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with high-speed production equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities.
• Knowledge of PLCs, motors, sensors and control systems.
• Strong safety awareness and safe-working practices.

• Troubleshoot and repair high-speed automated machinery.

• Troubleshoot and repair high-speed automated machinery
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance
• Work across utilities, refrigeration systems, compressors, and production lines

Candidate Profile

Essential:

• Electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
• time served
• Experience in high-speed manufacturing or processing environments
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities
• Knowledge of PLCs, motors, sensors, and control systems
• Strong safety awareness and compliance with safe working practices

Desirable:

• Multi-skilled (electrical and mechanical) experience
• Exposure to utilities, brewing, or liquid processing systems
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and instrumentation

4. Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: approx. 53,928 per annum
• Annual performance bonus: up to 2,500 (discretionary, one-off payment)
