Brioche Pasquier is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for our Milton Keynes production facility. You will maintain and optimise manufacturing equipment and processes to keep lines running safely and at high quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery, engineering tools, and production processes.
• Attentive to detail with the ability to present the root cause of an issue to drive solutions.
• Articulate in verbal and written communication appropriate to your audience.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations is an advantage, but internal training will be provided.
• IPAF and forklift licence would be an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be given to the right person.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the planning, construction, commissioning and testing of machinery prior to production for a new production line.
• Follow detailed construction plans and safety policies, working with contractors and visiting engineers.
• Carry out testing of mainly mechanical parts of the production line before, during and after test production exercises.
• Carry out machinery fault-finding and troubleshooting processes, alongside scheduled maintenance tasks and services to support proper functioning during testing.
• Carry out fault-finding and troubleshooting during production across all lines, and implement improvements to reduce waste and maintain quality.
• Assist in training staff on new equipment and processes.
• Provide clear communication to opposite shifts about ongoing maintenance topics.
• Use the in-house system to record work performed and track spare parts.
