Job summary

IPL, Forza & Kober is seeking an experienced Engineer to join our site-based engineering team at the Cleckheaton facility. You will handle reactive and preventative maintenance, drive improvements, and uphold high safety and workmanship standards across the site.

The role operates on a 4 on 4 off schedule (days/nights). A Level 4 HND in Mechanical Engineering is required, with an electrical qualification preferred, and strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast paced food manufacturing environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to challenge others in a professional and constructive manner.
• Understanding of environmental requirements and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Completion of reactive maintenance work when machinery breaks down to ensure impact to line efficiencies is minimised.
• Carrying out preventative maintenance to schedule.
• Ensure high standards or engineering workmanship across site.
• Team working on site development projects.
• Contribute to the development of existing and new standards for key items of equipment and facilities.
• Lead high standards of safety practices across the business.
• Complete routine tasks without being prompted, including any other duties relating to your role.
• Participate in Engineering focused activities
• Contribute towards continuous improvement projects.
• Support site technical issue resolution and completion of improvement actions through good engineering practices and guidance.
• Identify and share best practice and contribute towards raising awareness, improving performance and transitioning to a pro-active engineering culture
