Job summary

Advanced Engineering in Stevenage is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a food manufacturing environment. You will be electrically biased with a focus on minimising downtime, supporting continuous improvement and maintaining a safe, efficient site.

The role carries a salary of £51,750 with a 4 on 4 off days & night shift pattern. The ideal candidate will be apprentice-trained with NVQ Level 3, have strong electrical and mechanical maintenance skills, and experience in FMCG

Qualifications

Apprentice-trained Maintenance Engineer with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance background.
Experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs and drives.
Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) on production equipment.
Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise disruption to production.
Repair and maintain the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic elements of the plant.
Fault-find and resolve recurring machinery issues.
Support the development and improvement of planned maintenance systems.
Carry out routine checks, lubrication and scheduled maintenance.
Ensure machinery is maintained and repaired to a high standard.
Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve issues.
