Job summary

D R Newitt & Associates is recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a well-established FMCG manufacturer in the Harrogate area. The role is days and nights on a Panama pattern at a modern production facility, with ongoing investment in people and equipment.

You will maintain production equipment, respond to breakdowns and provide planned preventative maintenance to maximise plant reliability and efficiency, while contributing to continuous improvement projects and ensuring safety and

Qualifications

• Must have an engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Experience in FMCG, food, beverage or manufacturing environment is essential.
• Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve both electrical and mechanical faults.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
• Complete maintenance documentation using the site's CMMS.
• Work collaboratively with production to minimise downtime.
• Assist with equipment installations and improvement projects.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures.
