Job summary

Synergi Search & Select Ltd on behalf of a global food manufacturing leader is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer to work on highly automated production equipment in a fast-paced, engineering-led environment with ongoing training and exposure to SAP, SCADA and PLC-controlled systems.

Essential: NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / HNC in Engineering and 3+ years’ maintenance experience, strong fault-finding skills, CMMS experience, and the ability to work rotating days and nights in a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years’ maintenance engineering experience.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and PLC fault-finding skills.
• Experience in automated manufacturing environments.
• Able to diagnose and resolve breakdowns independently.
• Knowledge of CMMS and formal maintenance processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on automated production equipment.
• Fault‑finding and breakdown repair to minimize downtime.
• Contribute to reliability, continuous improvement and safety.
• Support 24/7 manufacturing operation in a fast-paced plant.

What We’re Looking For

Electrical or Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

You’ll ideally have:

• Strong electrical fault‑finding skills
• PLC fault‑finding experience
• Reactive maintenance experience
• Ability to independently diagnose and resolve breakdowns
• Experience within automated manufacturing environments

Essential Requirements

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent in Engineering
• 3+ years’ maintenance engineering experience
• Electrical and mechanical maintenance knowledge
• Planned and reactive maintenance experience
• Fault‑finding and breakdown repair expertise
• Experience working with automated machinery
• CMMS experience
• Strong health & safety awareness
• Ability to work rotating days and nights

Desirable Experience

• GMP and Food Safety standards
