Job summary

W Talent exclusively represents a well-established manufacturing company seeking a permanent Maintenance Engineer. This role supports production through proactive maintenance and rapid response to equipment breakdowns, while maintaining high engineering and safety standards.

Salary: £42K. Job Type: Permanent, full-time. Hours: Monday-Friday, 3-shift rotating. Location: Alfreton Nottingham. Additional: overtime opportunities, training and development, employee benefits package.

Qualifications

Engineering qualification or relevant engineering experience.
Experience in manufacturing/industrial environments.
Reactive and preventative maintenance experience.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of LOTO and Dynamic Risk Assessments.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Detail-oriented maintenance records.

Responsibilities

Respond to machinery breakdowns and minimise downtime.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
Record completed engineering work, faults identified and actions required.
Provide shift reports on engineering activities and issues.
Communicate with the Engineering Supervisor/Manager regarding breakdowns and repairs.
Liaise with Planning Teams and Shift Managers to coordinate maintenance.
Assist with documenting advice from manufacturers' technical support.
Complete daily/weekly/monthly preventative maintenance checks.
