Job summary

Linkster Recruitment seeks a Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing plant in the Swadlincote area. The role focuses on providing essential onsite engineering support to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.

Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical/electrical faults, performing routine maintenance, and managing parts orders. You will develop a preventative maintenance plan for systems like blending plants and boilers, with occasional out-of-hours support as needed.

Qualifications

• To be successful in this role, you should hold at least an NVQ Level 2 in engineering or an equivalent qualification, along with prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with manufacturing machinery and conveyor systems, along with a minimum of 12 months in a similar role, will be required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues.
• Conducting routine maintenance.
• Managing parts orders as necessary.
• Developing and implementing a planned preventative maintenance programme for various systems, including blending plants and boilers.
• Participating in plant modifications and providing out-of-hours emergency support on a rotational basis.
