Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Maintenance Engineer with a manufacturing or ex-forces background to join a market leading company in Flint. The role offers a flexible 3-shift pattern, substantial training on PLCs and full internal progression opportunities.

You will be responsible for keeping production lines operational, performing mechanical and electrical maintenance on automation and metalworking equipment, including motors, gearboxes, sensors and control panels.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Engineer in manufacturing or ex-forces background.
• Experience with fault finding on automation equipment and PLCs is beneficial.
• Willingness to work a 3-shift pattern and maintain production lines.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of automation and manufacturing machinery.
• Fault finding and maintenance of gearboxes, motors, sensors, panels and PLCs.
• Operate within a 3-shift rotation: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am, weekly rotating.
• Overtime payments: 1.5x on weekdays, 2x on Sundays/bank holidays.
• Respond to call-outs 1 in 6 weeks with overtime pay.

Are you a Maintenance Engineer from a manufacturing or ex-forces background, looking to join a market leading company, offering a flexible 3 shift pattern, that will invest heavily in your development through fully funded courses and in house training on PLCs?

In this role you will be responsible for keeping production lines operational, with the overall maintenance of automation and metal manufacturing machinery. This will involve both mechanical and electrical maintenance on motors, gearboxes, sensors and control panels on a 3-shift rotation.

This company has been operational since the 1950s and are a technical leader in the niche production of specialist filtration systems, supplying heavily into the aerospace, automotive and chemical industries all over the world. They pride themselves on their high quality of work and have risen to become well established in their field.

This role would suit a Maintenance Engineer with mechanical and some electrical experience looking for a 3-shift role, with full internal training on electrical systems including PLCs.

The Role

• Maintenance of automation and manufacturing machinery
• Fault finding and maintaining gearboxes, motors, sensors, panels and PLCs
• 3 shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm, 10pm - 6am, rotating weekly
• Overtime available at time at 1.5x on weekdays and 2x on Sunday and bank holidays
• Call out rota 1 in 6 weeks at overtime pay
