We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business in Cambridge.
The successful engineer will be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance, working across a range of electro-mechanical equipment. You'll also have the opportunity to get involved in component manufacture, continuous improvement and reliability projects.
Role & Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative and condition-based maintenance across a range of electro-mechanical equipment.
- Respond to reactive breakdowns, fault find and complete repairs efficiently.
- Manufacture and repair components using lathes, milling machines and welding equipment.
- Work closely with production teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
- Support continuous improvement projects across the site.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site's CMMS system.
- Liaise with and coordinate on-site contractors where required.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain technical knowledge and competence.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in line with site procedures.
Experience Required
- Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent.
- Previous experience within Food Manufacturing, FMCG or a similar production environment.
- Strong electro-mechanical maintenance experience.
- Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings.
- Experience working with milling equipment.
- Good knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- A proactive approach to fault finding and problem solving.
- Experience of continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.
