Maintenance Engineer (Day Shift) - Industrial and Manufacturing - Permanent - West Midlands

We are working on behalf of one of the most diverse manufacturing companies in Europe, looking to expand their West Midlands sites with the recruitment of an experienced Maintenance Engineer. This is an excellent long-term opportunity to join an established British manufacturer with a history of investment and diversification, currently planning succession and future-proofing.

As an experienced Maintenance Engineer, you will demonstrate knowledge and experience in a skilled maintenance role, particularly in electrical and mechanical maintenance, with the ability to maintain industrial and manufacturing machinery through hands-on work and technical skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain all production machinery electrically and mechanically.
2. Ensure maximum uptime of machinery and process equipment.
3. Minimize unplanned stops of production facilities.
4. Effectively maintain manufacturing machinery, plant, and equipment.
5. Develop and implement TPM programmes and planned maintenance routines.
6. Maximize machine availability to meet OEE targets.
7. Manage breakdowns and scheduled servicing.
8. Install and commission plant and equipment.
9. Maintain high standards of 5S and tool control.
10. Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and fluid drawings.
11. Adhere to company policies and procedures.
12. Maintain records for internal and regulatory compliance.
13. Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety legislation.
14. Keep accurate records of work activities, parts used, etc.
15. Collaborate with other departments to improve equipment reliability.
16. Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns.
17. Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

1. Strong team-working skills with flexibility and drive.
2. Knowledge of health and safety, including risk assessments.
3. Experience with electrical/mechanical systems and machinery.
4. Background in electrical and/or facilities maintenance.
5. Good time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
6. Knowledge of 18th Edition IEE regulations and PLC control systems.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
10. Motivated, capable of working under pressure.
11. Commitment to professional development.
