ITM Power in Sheffield seeks a Maintenance Engineer to support the Lead Maintenance Engineer in daily activities focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People. You will perform planned maintenance on state-of-the-art PEM electrolyser equipment and drive continuous improvement in asset reliability.

We value hands-on engineers with experience in automation, electrical systems, and CMMS usage who can read drawings and solve faults quickly in a high-visibility manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in automated manufacturing or process plant maintenance.
• Ability to read technical drawings (P&IDs, schematics, mechanical drawings).
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute planned, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance schedules and safety requirements.
• Support reliability improvement initiatives, including RCM & FMEA.
• Diagnose equipment faults, identify root causes, and implement permanent corrective actions following the right first-time mindset.
• Ensure spares are available and within Min-Max levels; propose stock improvements.
• Uphold safe systems of work including Permit-to-Work, LOTO, and working-at-height procedures.
