Job summary

Proactive Personnel Ltd in the Walsingham area is recruiting a maintenance engineer to support a 24-hour manufacturing site. You will perform breakdown repairs, health and safety improvements, and lead projects to boost plant performance.

You'll work a 40-hour week across a 3-shift pattern (6am-2pm, 1pm-9pm, 8am-4pm) with an on-call rota 1 in 5 evenings/weekends. Overtime applies after 40 hours.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining a 24h manufacturing plant.
• Ability to perform breakdown repairs and safety improvements.
• Capable of delivering projects to improve plant performance.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a maintenance engineer on behalf of our client based in the Walsingham area.

You will be required to facilitate all engineering activities associated with maintaining a 24hrs manufacturing plant, to provide breakdown repairs, health and safety improvements and deliver projects to improve plant performance and efficiency.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Equipment you will be working on includes, but is not limited too:

• Drag Chain Conveyors
• Screw conveyors
• Belt and bucket Elevators
• Mixing Equipment
• Weighing Equipment
• Boilers and steam plant
• Electrical Control Panels with Inverters and PLCs
• Compressed air and pneumatic equipment
• Hydraulic equipment

40Hrs per week

• Monday to Friday operating a 3-shift pattern.
• 6am – 2pm, 1pm -9pm, 8am- 4pm
• On-call rota for 1 in 5 covering evenings and weekends.

Salary £46,000 - hourly rate: £22.21 per hour.

Overtime at 1.5 after 40 hours, paid at £33.32.

This is a temporary ongoing position with the possibility of a permanent role
