Job summary

Rapidly growing, family-owned manufacturing organisation in West Yorkshire is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team. You will be involved in maintaining and repairing plant machinery and facility equipment, ensuring efficient operation and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

You will need a strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering from a manufacturing environment, with a qualification in mechanical and/or electrical engineering and knowledge of PPM,

Qualifications

• Strong background in Mechanical and Electrical engineering from a manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of PPM and OEE and continuous improvement.
• Experience of working in ISO9001/14001/45001 compliant environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and repairing plant machinery and facility equipment.
• Scheduling planned preventative maintenance (PPM) for efficiency.
• Pursuing continuous improvement to reduce downtime and improve OEE.
• Ensuring electrical, manufacturing, HSE and environmental compliance (ISO 9001/45001/14001).

Job description

Maintenance Engineer job opportunity for a leading materials manufacturer based in the West Yorkshire area.

Company: Rapidly growing, family-owned manufacturing organisation, which is bucking the trend in the construction materials market and is continuing to grow rapidly.

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:15pm, Friday 7am to 12:30pm (some flexibility in hours is available)

Location: East Yorkshire area

Duration: Permanent

Salary: up to £42k (depending on your skills and experience)

You will be involved in:

• Maintaining and repairing plant machinery and facility equipment.
• Ensuring efficient operation of machinery and looking at planned preventative maintenance (PPM - scheduling).
• Looking for opportunities for continuous improvement to reduce downtime and increase overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Ensuring electrical compliance along with manufacturing, HSE and environmental compliance (ISO9001/45001/14001).
• Where required, work with external contractors on upgrades and modifications.

What do you need to be considered?

You will need:
