The Opportunity
We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing site in Bradford. This is a hands‑on role supporting the reliability, performance and continuous improvement of production equipment within a busy manufacturing environment.
The role is predominantly mechanically focused, with around 70% of the workload involving mechanical maintenance and fault finding. We're looking for someone who enjoys diagnosing breakdowns, solving problems and keeping production running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
- Support the reliability and performance of production machinery.
- Work on conveyors, bearings, motors, gearboxes, chains, pulleys, belts, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Complete maintenance activities safely and in line with company procedures.
- Support installation, commissioning and improvement projects.
- Record maintenance activities using maintenance management systems.
- Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and improve efficiency.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities.

- Manufacturing or production maintenance experience.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
- Experience carrying out both reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance.
- Experience with conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, motors, chains, belts and associated production equipment.
- Good problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to maintenance.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Electrical fault-finding experience.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems experience.
- PLC diagnostics and basic fault finding.

Qualifications
- Engineering Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC/HND or equivalent engineering qualification.
- Previous maintenance engineering experience.
- Mechanical Engineering qualification.
- Electrical Engineering qualification.
- 18th Edition.
- Multi-skilled engineering training.
- PLC training.
