JRS Associates have partnered up with an exciting high-precision manufacturing company in Tewkesbury to recruit an experienced Maintenance Engineer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for reactive and planned preventative maintenance across a technically advanced manufacturing facility, working on a wide variety of production machinery, electrical systems, controls and general facility services. The position will suit a strong multi-skilled engineer with an electrical bias, good mechanical knowledge and proven fault-finding experience.

The Successful Maintenance Engineer – Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing or process environment
- Strong electrical bias with good mechanical maintenance knowledge
- Experience with industrial electronics and control systems
- Strong reactive maintenance and fault-finding experience
- Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance / PPM
- Able to diagnose mechanical, electrical and control faults efficiently
- Time-served engineering apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience maintaining production machinery within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with SMT, pick-and-place equipment, reflow ovens, wave soldering, drilling, plating, etching, AOI or inspection equipment would be advantageous
- Experience within PCB, electronics, aerospace, defence, medical or another high-precision manufacturing environment would be beneficial
- AS9100 experience would be advantageous
The Successful Maintenance Engineer – Role
- Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance across production machinery and facility equipment
- Fault-find electrical, mechanical and industrial electronic/control issues
- Support the installation, commissioning and validation of new equipment
- Maintain service records, maintenance schedules and technical documentationManage critical spare parts and consumables to minimise downtime
- Support compressed air, extraction, HVAC and electrical distribution systems
- Liaise with Production, Engineering and Quality regarding breakdowns, repairs and root causes
- Support continuous improvement projects focused on equipment reliability and downtime reduction
- Ensure maintenance work complies with health & safety procedures including COSHH, permit-to-work and lock-out/tag-out requirements.
