Job summary

Sovrin Medical Plastics is seeking a multi skilled Maintenance Engineer to service and optimise plastics moulding and assembly equipment. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, fault finding and proactive improvements within a clean room environment.

You'll work a single day shift, 08:00 to 16:30, with regular overtime and a negotiable remuneration package. Prior experience with automotive or medical device manufacturers is beneficial but not required.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering apprenticeship or higher qualification (HNC/HND).
• Experience in manufacturing environments; clean room experience is advantageous.
• Track record of proactive maintenance and fault resolution.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on injection moulding and assembly lines.
• Diagnose and repair equipment to minimise downtime and keep lines running.
• Support ongoing improvement of equipment, processes and OEE.
• Follow safety, quality and SOPs in a regulated environment.

Maintenance Engineer– Plastics Moulding and Assembly

Sovrin Medical Plastics is an ISO 13485 certified, contract manufacturer, supplying Precision Injection Mouldings, Assemblies and Medical Devices to the Pharmaceutical, Drug Delivery and Healthcare industries.

We are looking to recruit a multi skilled hands-on maintenance engineer responsible for performing preventive maintenance activities and responding to breakdowns. Often working in a clean room environment providing technical expertise to fault find, maintain and continually improve automated injection moulding equipment, ancillary equipment and assembly processes.

Experience with any of the following would be an advantage:

• 3 Phase electrical supply
• Controls and drives
• Complex mechanical assemblies
• Injection moulding machines and ancillary services
• Planned maintenance software

You will also need to be able to demonstrate a track record of technical competence, working proactively, and managing your own time effectively.

Ideally you will have completed a recognised Engineering apprenticeship or have a higher education qualification (such as a HNC, HND) in a related subject.

This is a single shift onsite day shift position, with core hours from 08:00 to 4:30 Monday to Friday, and the opportunity for regular overtime. The remuneration package is negotiable and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Overtime available.

25 days holiday + Bank holidays and sick pay scheme.
