Job summary

ATA Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for a major UK retailer. You will perform reactive and planned maintenance to ensure smooth factory operation, handling electrical and mechanical fault-finding and maintaining the workshop and stock.

You will drive continuous improvement to boost OEE and reliability, including tasks carried out at height. The role offers a competitive package with a 52k salary, bonus up to 5%, a 13% pension and private healthcare, with Panama shift

Qualifications

• A time-served apprenticeship or a level 3 qualification in either electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Proven experience in a similar electro-mechanical engineering field.
• Ideally experience within automation not essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform reactive and planned maintenance to keep the factory running smoothly.
• Electrical fault-finding as well as mechanical fault-finding.
• Looking after the workshop, storing tools properly and ordering stock.
• Raise continuous improvement initiatives to enhance OEE and reliability.
• Carry out maintenance tasks at height when required.

£52,142 + Bonus up to 5% of Salary + 13% Pension Overall + Private Healthcare

Shift Panama Days and Nights (2 week blocks)

About the company:

We are partnering with one of the biggest retail brands in the UK, an established high street retailer who produce a turnover of over 7 billion. This site is their main warehouse/distribution facility and are a household name across the UK.

Our client is facing heavy investment across their facility, improving existing infrastructure with new conveying systems, automation systems and site improvements

As well as this, you would be part of a huge Engineering function across a million square foot site who are looking to add to the team.

About the role

This is an opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join a massive business within the automation/distribution sector. Due to good company performance, the opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer has arisen. The successful Maintenance Engineer will have the opportunity to grow into specialist positions.

Responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring the smooth running of the factory, by performing reactive and planned maintenance work.
• Electrical fault-finding as well as mechanical fault-finding.
• Taking ownership of looking after the workshop, ensuring all the tools are correctly stored as well as ordering new stock when necessary.
• Raising continuous improvement initiatives to enhance OEE and Reliability.
• Ability to carry out maintenance tasks whilst working at height.

The ideal candidate will have a multi-skilled skillset.

About you:

To be considered for the Maintenance Engineer position, you should have the following:

• A time-served apprenticeship or a level 3 qualification in either electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Proven experience in a similar electro-mechanical engineering field.
