Job summary

Ibis Northampton Centre is seeking a proactive maintenance technician to support daily engineering tasks and ensure guest comfort across all areas of the hotel. You will work to maintain essential systems and respond promptly to requests from guests and management.

With experience in maintenance and strong customer service, you will follow preventive maintenance schedules, report issues, and collaborate with other departments to keep air-conditioning, electrical, plumbing, and related equipment

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance or related field is essential.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks across hotel systems.

Job Description

• PPM procedure to maintain this oldbuilding.
• Follow the day to day maintenance tasks and report any issue to the Maintenance manager.
• Implement and support to follow the health and safety procedure.
• Follow daily engineering maintenance and assist in daily work
• Ensure safe work practices, efficient operation, proper preventative maintenance and repair to equipment.
• Schedule and document planned and unplanned maintenance programs for the various systems such as Air-conditioning & electrical, refrigeration, FLS equipment, building maintenance including furniture & fixtures, painting, parts renewal & repairs, kitchen and laundry equipment, low voltage (LV), guest rooms, F&B outlets,front/back of the house, plumbing & drainages service
• Actively contributes to guests' comfort
• Carries out repair work as required, following specifications and handles any unexpected problems
• Prevents problems from occurring in the hotel's technical installations
• Implements the corrective action plans as communicated by the Maintenance Manager.
• Follows the preventive maintenance programme
• Applies water hygiene procedures
• Is in contact will all hotel departments
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting (essential), plumbing, electrical work
• Respond to maintenance requests from guests and management in a timely manner
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations

Qualifications

Requirements: Experience in maintenance or related field is essential - Excellent customer service skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
