Job summary

Ibis Northampton Centre in Northampton is seeking a dedicated maintenance engineer to uphold the hotel's high standards of guest comfort. You will follow daily engineering tasks, perform routine maintenance, and assist the Maintenance Manager in ensuring safe, efficient operations across all building systems.

This role requires experience in maintenance, strong customer service, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• PPM procedure to maintain this old building.
• Follow the day to day maintenance tasks and report any issue to the Maintenance manager.
• Implement and support to follow the health and safety procedure.
• Follow daily engineering maintenance and assist in daily work.
• Ensure safe work practices, efficient operation, proper preventative maintenance and repair to equipment.
• Schedule and document planned and unplanned maintenance programs for systems (air-conditioning, electrical, refrigeration, LV, plumbing, etc.).
• Actively contribute to guests' comfort.
• Carry out repair work as required, following specifications and handle unexpected problems.
• Prevent problems from occurring in the hotel's technical installations.
• Implement corrective action plans as communicated by the Maintenance Manager.
• Follow the preventive maintenance programme.
• Apply water hygiene procedures.
• Be in contact with all hotel departments.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, electrical work.
• Respond to maintenance requests from guests and management in a timely manner.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Job Description
