Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Manufacturing) in Knighton to join an established manufacturing business. You will receive on-the-job training on specialist production machinery and benefit from progression opportunities and uncapped overtime.

The role focuses on planned maintenance, breakdown responses, fault finding, and keeping equipment running safely. It operates a 4 on 4 off shift (days 6:00-18:00, nights 18:00-06:00) with overtime paid at time and a half.

In this varied role, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns across production equipment and site machinery. You will fault find, complete repairs, support machine reliability, and work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.

This role would suit a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer who is looking for a 4 on 4 off shift role, on-the-job training, progression, and uncapped overtime paid at time and a half.

The Role:

• PPMs and breakdown repairs on production equipment and site machinery
• Fault finding, repairs, machine reliability, and general maintenance duties
• 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 1 week days 6:00am - 6:00pm, then 1 week nights 6:00pm - 6:00am

The Person:

• Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or similar
• Experience working on production machinery or within a manufacturing environment
• Commutable to Knighton
