Job summary

Interaction Recruitment PLC is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in Towcester, Northamptonshire. You will diagnose faults, perform PPMs, and support site improvements in a fast-paced production environment.

Minimum 3 years' experience, recognised engineering qualifications, and a multi-skilled electrical/mechanical capability are required. Overtime is paid, with a strong focus on safety and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance engineering role in manufacturing, food production, cold storage, or similar.
• Recognised engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Multi-skilled with electrical or mechanical bias.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and carry out electrical and mechanical repairs on production equipment.
• Perform planned preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
• Ensure strict adherence to health and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with Engineering Manager and team to maintain smooth plant operations.

Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £41,000 - £45,000 (OTE £48,000 - £50,000)

Location: Towcester, Northampton

Hours: Monday - Friday, 07:30 - 17:30 + overtime paid at 1.5x

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
