Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for an FMCG manufacturing site in the UK. You will join a supportive senior team and handle both electrical and mechanical maintenance, attending breakdowns and executing planned maintenance on production machinery.

The role emphasises reducing downtime, continuous improvement, and adherence to safety standards during the evening shift. A recognised engineering qualification is required, with UK experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Role of the Maintenance Engineer

As a maintenance engineer on the evening shift,you will be a part of the team responsible for attending breakdowns and scheduled planned maintenance of all production machinery. The team will ensuremaximum machinery uptime and driving continuous improvement across the facility. You will be responsible for overseeing both electrical and mechanical maintenance activities, planned preventative maintenance schedules.

Non‑Negotiable Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer

• Proven maintenance engineering within an FMCG or industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in both reactive and planned maintenance within a fast-paced factory.

Essential Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer

• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding knowledge.
• Recognised Engineering qualification (Electrical or Mechanical).
• Experience working on maintenance systems, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.

Desirable Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer

• Previous experience working as a maintenance engineer in the UK.
• Experience working with PLCs and the ability to support fault-finding activities.
• Knowledge of CMMS systems and budget management.
