Job summary

The Collective Network Limited is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a highly automated manufacturing facility in Cambridgeshire. You will maintain and improve robotic and PLC-controlled equipment as part of a skilled team, with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement.

You’ll work a 4 on 4 off days and nights shift pattern, enjoying an invested site with automation and industry 4.0 technology. Overtime and benefits are available alongside a strong career progression path.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering qualification.
• PLC fault-finding experience.
• Background in food, FMCG or manufacturing.
• Strong multi-skilled capability (electrical & mechanical).
• Proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve a range of automated production equipment.
• Work with robotics, high-speed conveyors and PLC-controlled machinery.
• Perform preventative maintenance and reliability improvements.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

Working as part of a skilled engineering team, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving a range of automated production equipment, including:

• Robotics and automated systems
• High-speed conveyors and packaging lines
• PLC-controlled machinery
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding
• Preventative maintenance and reliability improvements

This is a hands‑on, fast-paced environment where problem solving and initiative are genuinely valued.
