Job summary

A multi-skilled maintenance engineer role at a major automated manufacturing site in Bristol. The successful candidate will join a large engineering team, focusing on reliability, preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis across automated production equipment and conveyors.

Role offers premium overtime, extensive OEM training including Siemens PLC and robotics, plus clear career progression within a large UK group.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification at Level 3 or above (Electrical, Mechanical or Multi-Skilled).
• Previous maintenance engineering experience in manufacturing, production or industrial environment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work a 5 on 5 off and 4 on 4 off days and nights shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform fault finding.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Work on 3-phase systems, motors, sensors and control equipment.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability projects.
• Contribute to safe and efficient site operation.

Shift Pattern: 5 on 5 off Continental Shifts (Days & Nights)

What You'll Be Doing

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of a wide range of automated production equipment, including:

• Automated production machinery
• Conveyors and material handling systems
• Presses and manufacturing equipment
• Robotics and automated systems
• Electrical and mechanical plant equipment

Key responsibilities include:
